Program Overview

Arkansas YMCA Youth and Government is excited to host our second annual State Assembly, hosted by the Campus YMCA at the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville.

Arkansas YMCA Youth and Government serves students 9th-12th grade across Arkansas. We provide numerous civic engagement activities and the oppurtunity to learn about issues facing students.

State Assembly Information

The State Assembly will be April 24th-26th in Fayetteville, AR.  Student participants will have the opportunity to serve in the House of Representatives, the Senate, or the Social Media program. Additionally, for students looking to serve in a leadership position,  there will opportunities in both legislative chambers and in the social media program.

Student Participants will also need to download, print, and sign the Student and Safety Code of Conduct.

This year’s program fee is $35, which can be paid by check. Checks should be made out to “Campus Y at the University of Arkansas.”

Online Bill Submission

All student serving as Youth Senators or Youth Representatives have the option research and write a bill on a state issue they believe is important to Arkansas.

Students writing bills should follow the Arkansas YMCA YAG Bill Template when writing legislation. Bills, using this template, must be submitted via email to
