On November 6th, Americans across the country will head to the polls. This year, the YMCA and Youth and Government want to help ensure that as many students turn out to vote as possible.

The YMCA of Greater Brandywine, an association of eight YMCAs across Chester County, is expanding its YMCA Youth and Government program for young people in grades 7-12.

In a time of divisive politics, Fond du Lac Family YMCA’s Youth in Government is guiding the next generation to govern with civility. In its first year, 40 students in grades 6-12 joined the program.

One of Englander’s most formative experience was the Palm Desert YMCA Youth and Government group. “It really was this kind of haven for the kids who really loved politics but didn’t know how to express it.”
