Program Overview

Welcome to Massachusetts YMCA Youth and Government, a yearlong youth-run, youth-led civics program in which students represent their schools and communities as part of a model state government, taking over the chambers of the State Capitol to debate bills written by their peers.

Students are offered the opportunity to learn about a wide variety of issues, develop critical thinking skills, and articulate their beliefs while engaging constructively with their peers from around Massachusetts.

State Conference Information

We’re excited to invite students across Massachusetts to our State Conference this coming spring in Boston:

Registration fees cover all pre-leg and conference costs, hotel rooms for both nights, as well as both dinners during the state conference:

Student Registration Fee: $360
Adult Registration Fee: $360 (2 per hotel room) or $650 (private room)
